Where are they from?
Common throughout the lower streams and rivers in both the Rio Tuy and Lake Valencia drainages of northern Venezuela in the states of Miranda, Aragua, and Carabobo.
What is the ideal number to keep together?
Should be kept in groups of at least 6 of the same species.
What water conditions do they require?
Water conditions should be kept between 6.8 - 7.8 pH. Temperatures should range between 19.0-25.0°C
What should you feed them?
Black Venezuelan Corydoras should be fed a variety of frozen and sinking pellet foods for a varied diet.
How compatible are they with other fish?
A peaceful community fish; largely compatible with all species.
