Asagi are a unique and distinctive variety of koi, recognisable by their blue/grey pattern on their back that resembles netting. This creates a striking contrast to the red or orange colouration on the belly, body, gill plates and head. The highest grade Asagi are those without any hi, or red colouring beyond the lateral line.
